On June 2, the international dance and folklore festival “Avaza – the Land of Friendship” will start in Turkmenistan, in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.
As Deputy Prime Minister B. Seyidova reported at a Government meeting, within the framework of the festival, with the participation of Turkmen and foreign dance groups, it is planned to hold an international forum “Küştdepdi – parahatçylyk waspçysy” (Dance “kushtdepdi” – the singer of peace), as well as demonstration numbers of this national ritual dance, a concert of dance and folklore groups.
The forum will last until June 7 and will help introduce the peoples of the world to the Turkmen national dance art and ancient folklore, as well as develop intercultural ties.
The Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for consideration by the President of Turkmenistan.
The head of state emphasized that on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, large-scale international events are being held that promote the development of cultural and humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and the countries of the world. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to hold the international dance and folklore festival "Avaza - the Land of Friendship" at a high level, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
