Exhibition of paintings and sculptures in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory opened in Ashgabat

The Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan hosted the grand opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The ceremony was attended by the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin, Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Nursahet Shirimov, representatives of the diplomatic corps and public circles, art historians, and journalists.

In his speech, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission expressed confidence that this exhibition will become a connecting bridge between the past and the present, a reason to think about what we want our future to be.

In addition, he added that on the occasion of the Great Victory Day, concerts and film screenings will be held in Ashgabat, the “Alley of Memory” will be opened, and the Immortal Regiment procession will take place.

In total, the exhibition includes 44 paintings and 14 sculptures. The exhibition will run at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan until May 12, the press service of the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat reported.
