President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan to participate in the first summit "Central Asia - Italy", the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
At the Ashgabat International Airport, the head of state was seen off by officials. Upon arrival in Astana, the President of Turkmenistan was met by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and other officials, as well as members of the Turkmen delegation.
As noted in the report, the participation of the head of Turkmenistan in the summit is a continuation of the country's foreign policy strategy, based on the principles of peace, good neighborliness and equality.
It is expected that the summit will become an effective tool for developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Italy, and will open up new opportunities for sustainable economic development and intensification of cultural ties.
