Students of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva will perform as part of a united choir of 250 musicians from the CIS countries at the ceremonial events in Moscow dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Representatives of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have been invited to participate in the festive concert program scheduled for May 9.
Currently, Turkmen students, together with their Azerbaijani colleagues, are rehearsing at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music under the leadership of the Academy's rector, Alexander Ryzhinsky. The repertoire of the united choir includes patriotic works, including the songs "Sacred War", the anthem "Bells" and "Victory Day".
