On May 27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a regular meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework between Turkmenistan and the United Nations for 2021–2025.
The meeting, held in a hybrid format, was attended by heads and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads and representatives of a number of ministries and sectoral departments of the country, the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, heads and representatives of UN departments.
The participants discussed issues such as a review of the implementation of the current Framework Program, consideration of the next cycle for 2026–2030, as well as approval of the UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA Country Programs for the period 2026–2030.
The meeting noted the high level of established multifaceted cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
