Today, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Turkmenistan (with residence in Baku) Kestutis Vaskelevicius presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov.
Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post, A. Gurbanov expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of his diplomatic mission. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side also expressed hope for the participation of Lithuanian representatives in the work of the international forum, which will be held on December 12 this year in Ashgabat on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality.
Ambassador Kestutis Vaskelevicius assured that he would make every effort to develop Turkmen-Lithuanian cooperation.
