Consul of Turkmenistan in the United States Shohrat Pirmuhammedov held a number of official meetings in Montana and Wyoming to explore opportunities for academic cooperation. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Thus, negotiations were held with the leadership of Montana State University in Billings (MSUB), Northwest College (NWC) in Wyoming and the University of Wyoming to discuss prospects for cooperation between these institutions and higher education institutions of Turkmenistan.
The discussion focused on educational programs in areas such as business, finance and banking, medicine and nursing, English language and literature, preschool education, agriculture, horse breeding, energy and others. The parties expressed mutual interest in developing academic exchanges.
Consul Pirmuhammedov also organized presentations at Montana State University and Northwestern College on the topic “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan: 30 Years of Peace and Diplomacy.”
The presentations were followed by active question and answer sessions, during which participants showed keen interest in the topic of neutrality, regional diplomacy, and relations between Turkmenistan and the United States.
In addition, the consul met with Turkmen students studying in Montana and Wyoming.
