On April 17, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Turkmenistan, together with the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, will hold a thematic event dedicated to the 16th International Day of the Chinese Language.
The program will include an exhibition dedicated to Chinese culture for guests. The event will feature a live broadcast of a Chinese-language oratory competition and cultural performances.
International Chinese Language Day, established by the UN in 2010, is officially celebrated on April 20. The date was chosen in memory of Cang Jie, the legendary founder of Chinese writing.
